Minister names three new TLTB directors

Minister for iTaukei Affairs Ifereimi Vasu has announced the appointment of three new directors to the iTaukei Land Trust Board board of trustees.

The appointees are Solomoni Nata, Ratu Jese Qalirea and Emosi Toga.

Mr Vasu said the three appointees would bring a wealth of land management and commercial experience, strategic planning, valuation, and leadership to the board that would assist in its new business direction.

“The TLTB board is fortunate to have access to the services of three new appointees and looks forward to working with them in lifting the standards of service delivery of the board to the landowners and its stakeholders,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The three new appointees replaced Isikeli Tikoduadua, Lawrence Tikaram and Wainikiti Bogidrau whose terms on the board had expired.

Mr Nata was the former deputy general manager Operations, Research and Development at the TLTB for 12 years until his retirement last year.

Mr Qalirea is a network engineer by profession and has served in the field of network engineering for 27 years for Telecom Fiji Ltd.

He also represents the tikina of Nausori on the Tailevu Provinicial Council. Mr Toga was also a former employee of TLTB from 1983 until his retirement in 2007.

He worked his way up through the ranks within the board from cadet to a regional manager, manager of human resources and also as the board secretary.
