SENIOR citizens and children living in various homes in Fiji will have something extra to celebrate this Diwali, with special gift packs being distributed to their doorsteps this week.
Distributing the goods will be Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Rosy Akbar.
She thanked Punjas and Sons Ltd for their gifts as part of their corporate social responsibility towards the ministry’s Diwali celebrations for residential homes and for the underprivileged children, the elderly and disadvantaged groups under their care.
“The generous donation today (Monday) provides mileage for the ministry in outreaching its programs. This however, also embraces an opportune time for the ministry to provide a well established relationship with a truly private public partnership sector.”
