Former scholars, parents, and students turned out in numbers on Thursday night to commemorate the 100th year Golden Jubilee celebrations of Drasa Primary School and the 50th anniversary of Drasa Secondary School.
Officiating at the Lautoka school’s celebration, Subrail’s Furniture managing director Shiva Gounder said the occasion was about celebrating a legacy of learning and growth.
“We honour Drasa Primary School’s 100 years of excellence and the 50th year journey of Drasa Secondary School,” Mr Gounder said.
“This a testament to the enduring spirit of education and commitment in shaping the future.
“To the staff, students, and alumni of Drasa Primary School, congratulations on reaching your centennial — 100 years is a significant milestone.
“It reflects enduring strength and vision that guided this institution from its humble beginnings.”
A three-day carnival at the primary school ground ended yesterday.
It featured a variety of activities, including cultural performances, sports competitions, and food stalls.
