CATHOLICS yesterday gathered at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Suva for a memorial service for Pope Francis.
The Pope died on Monday. In a social media post, Archbishop Peter Loy Chong said the death of a pope marked a beginning of a symbolic transition for the church.
After the official confirmation of death, the church enters a nine-day mourning period.
Attorney General Graham Leung was among parishioners who attended the service.
