INDIA’S High Commissioner to Fiji Suneet Mehta treated members of the media organisations to a dinner, thanking them for the vital role the media has played in the country.
In addressing members of the media at his residence, Mr Mehta said India and Fiji shared a deep rooted relationship built on history, values, and vibrant people-to-people ties.
“In recent years, the India-Fiji partnership has steadily evolved into a forward-looking and multifaceted collaboration with spans across healthcare, education, trade, digital innovation, strategic cooperation, and more.
“Today we have gathered to express our deepest gratitude to members of the Fijian media who play a vital role in shaping public opinion, building bridges, and connecting and empowering.
“India is a land of 1.4billion dreams, it is a country making great stories in technology, healthcare, education, green energy, and digital infrastructure.”
He said Fiji had not only become a friend but a partner in this journey.
