SOME key Fiji Airways Flying Fijian players could miss out on the two test matches against the Maori All Blacks in July.

Flying Fijians coach John McKee said players who were playing in the Top 14 competition in France would miss out if their team reached the final.

The T14 final is scheduled for July 16.

Fiji plays the Maori All Blacks on July 13 in Suva, and in Rotorua a week later.

Teams with Fijian players in contention for the finals include Racing 92’s Leone Nakarawa and Ben Volavola with Clermont’s Peceli Yato and Apisai Naqalevu.

McKee said their availability was dependent on the outcome of results in the T14 competition.

Fiji has played the Maori All Blacks 28 times since their first match in 1938.

The two teams last met in 2015 when Fiji lost 27-26 at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
