ELECTRIC scrum-half Nikola Matawalu has signed a new contract with the Glasgow Warriors until 2021
Matawalu who also plays on the wing signs his second spell with Warriors, having also played for Bath Rugby and the Exeter Chiefs.
“He’s been fantastic,” Warriors head coach, Kiwi Dave Rennie told BBC Sports.
Matawalu has a total of 38 tries to his tally in 103 appearances for Glasgow.
“He is a real handful,” Rennie said.
“He’s been playing really well and he’s been clinical with ball in hand.”
Matawalu was also awarded the McCrea Financial Services Warrior of the Month for November Award earlier this month for his continued contribution to the club.
“It’s the first time I’ve won this award since I’ve been back at the club and it’s a good feeling,” Matawalu said.
“Everyone is playing very well just now, so I’m happy that I’ve won the award this month.”
