Provisional numbers show that visitor arrivals for February 2025 totalled 49,483, a significant decrease of 30.1% when compared to January 2025.
In January 70,794 tourist arrived in the country.
Fiji Bureau of Statistics said of the 49,483 visitors, 48,952 came by air while 531 came by sea. The sea arrivals were mostly seamen on fishing vessels (513) and 18 arrivals by yacht.
For February 2025 visitors arriving for holiday purposes accounted for 70.2% of total arrivals, 9.4% came to visit their friends or relatives, 3.2% came for business purposes, while 17.2% visited for other reasons.
17,812 tourists came from Australia while 8,626 were from New Zealand.
