Monika Masi, a Year 4 student of Navala Catholic Primary School, soared to victory in the U9 girls’ long jump event at the Ba Primary School athletics competition yesterday after securing a gold medal.
The young athlete from Navala Village showed great promise as she set her sights on a bigger stage at the upcoming Chow Games in Suva next month.
Despite her soft-spoken nature, Masi’s determination is clear.
“I want to thank God for the win. My aim is to go to Suva,” she said.
With her impressive performance and strong ambition, Monika is poised to continue her success as she prepares to compete against the best in the country.
