It is great to see Selestino Ravutaumada and Iosefo Masi back in the squad after the Olympics and appearing fit and ready says FIJI Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne.

With just hours left until their face-off against Manu Samoa, the team is buzzing with anticipation.

Coach Byrne acknowledged the pressure that comes with his role, emphasising the need to ensure that all players are in optimal condition before the game.

“Pressure is one thing we coaches feel, the pressure is mostly to get the work done, and to make sure all the players are in great shape before the game,” said Byrne.

“I am glad to have the pair back Masi and Stino, after their Olympics outing, they will be in the lineup for the match.

Despite some players nursing injuries, Byrne expressed confidence in the selected 23 to take on Samoa.

Ravutaumada will start on the wing while Masi has been named at outside centre.

As excitement mounts for the upcoming game, Byrne encouraged fans to show their support for the Flying Fijians, predicting an enthralling match against Samoa.

Flying Fijians take on Manu Samoa, 6pm at the HFC Bank Stadium today which will be the opening match of this year’s Pacific Nation Cup.
