Maryanne Tuinasakea and her family have been quick to forgive the man who is alleged to have taken her mother’s life — an act that may be unthinkable for some.
For her, forgiveness does not diminish what he allegedly did, but it speaks of the relationship the late Paula Kafoa had with her and her siblings.
“He loved us and always ensured we were well looked after,” she said.
