The Lautoka Maroons side is bracing for a tough challenge from Vanua Championship finalist Ba in the Nivea Vanua Trophy Challenge match at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka tomorrow.

The Maroons have only Ba to beat in order to walk away with the trophy when the dust settles after the game. Lautoka on their way to the final challenge have defeated Navosa, Northland and Rewa.

Maroons manager Avimeleki Iosefo said the boys were looking forward to the game.

“This is our last game and we also accept the challenge from Ba,” he said. Iosefo added they were aware that it is a do or die match for them.

“This is our last game for us in the Vanua competition before we play the Skipper Cup next year.

“We want to hold onto this trophy and the boys are aware that Ba is waiting for us.”

He added the Maroons fielded a few reserve players in their win against Rewa last weekend because of a number of injuries.

“The boys have now recovered well and they are training hard for the clash.”

Ba coach Vilimoni Delasau had earlier stated they were looking forward to the clash against Lautoka.

The match kicks-off at 1pm.
