There is a need for the Government to undertake a thorough assessment in municipal markets and to waiver market stall fees in local municipal markets.
This was discussed during the Suva Market Vendors Association meeting today.
During the discussion, the vice-president of the association, Luisa Fisher, said assessing individual vendors in the market was the only way to gauge those who genuinely needed assistance and those who would not in terms of paying market stall fees.
