A 25-year-old man lost his life following an alleged stabbing in Suva over the weekend.

A 24-year-old man is in police custody following the death of a 25-year-old man in Suva over the weekend.

Police said it is alleged the victim and suspect exchanged heated words leading the suspect stabbing the victim on Saturday night.

“The victim was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he was admitted, and later passed away.”

Police said the post-mortem examination will be conducted today and investigations continue.
