The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has started court proceedings against a man who had allegedly committed an offence of rape when he was 15 years old.
The man is now 27 years old, said the ODPP in its monthly rape and sexual offences statistics for April 2025.
“There was one incident where a 27-year-old man was charged with the rape of a 19-year-old man,” said the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
“The alleged incident took place when the victim was 7 years old, and the accused was 15- year-old.”
The ODPP said there were four incidents where the victims and the accused were related to one another.
There was one incident where a 28-year-old man was charged with the rape, sexual assault and indecent assault of his 12-year-old and 15-year-old stepdaughters.
In another incident, a 37-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 15-year-old niece.
The victim’s aunt was also charged with one count of aiding and abetting rape.
A 60-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 16-year-old niece.
A 12-year-old boy was charged with the rape of his 6-year-old cousin.
