Eid marks a time for all to seek renewal, reconciliation, and unity within the Muslim community and beyond.

This was the message by High Commissioner of Malaysia to Fiji Nor’Azam Mohd Idrus during an Eid celebration at his residence in Tamavua, Suva yesterday.

Mr Idrus also urged all to wholeheartedly embrace the spirit of Eid al-Fitr with open hearts and minds.

“As the end of the holy month of Ramadan is marked, we would have in the days leading up to it, endeavoured to do our best to have righteous thoughts consistently kept in the forefront of our minds with the hope it would lead to righteous acts,” he said.

Mr Idrus also urged all Malaysians in Fiji to register with the Malaysian High Commission if they hadn’t done so.

“Ensuring that all Malaysians residing in Suva are connected and accounted for is essential. My team at the High Commission and I will always prioritise taking care of our Malaysian citizens aboard.”
