Low-pressure systems may develop into significant weather systems – Fiji Met

Listen to this article:

The Fiji Meteorological Service states there are few low-pressure systems embedded along the South Pacific Convergence which may develop into a significant disturbance in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Currently, significant tropical disturbance 08F is located South of Samoa and North-West of Niue.

Global models have picked up the system and move it Southeastwards, closer to Niue with slight intensification.

Fiji Met states the potential for this system to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 to 48 hours is low.
