Lokur sworn-in as Supreme Court of Fiji judge

A NEW judge was sworn-in yesterday by the President Jioji Konrote as judge of the Supreme Court of Fiji at the State House.

Justice Madan Bhimarao Lokur who graduated in History (Honours) from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University in 1974 was an Arbitrator and Chamber Practice in Law since his retirement in 2018

Experienced in civil, criminal, constitutional, revenue and administrative law he was appointed as judge of the Supreme Court of India on June 4th, 2012.

Justice Lokur’s appointment as judge of the Supreme Court of Fiji came to effect from January 21, 2019.
