THE Oceania Swimming Championship will be televised live.
This followed the signing of agreement between Fiji Swimming Association signed and Fiji Television.
In a statement association executive Lucy Erasito said the event would be broadcast across the region.
“Fiji TV, as a broadcast partner, brings a breadth and depth of experience in sports coverage and in particular their experience in the region will be a plus for the event. With 14 countries (including Fiji) from the region coming, this regional focus will be important in an Olympic year,” she said.
Fiji TV chief executive officer Geoffery Smith said:
“The partnership covers broadcast television rights for Fiji and new media rights including streaming to the world.”
The championship will be from June 19-25 with 14 countries competing.
