MAKARE and Rosiloa, formerly Black Rose, will perform together tomorrow to give crowds in Suva a further taste of their brand of music that is making waves locally.
The show, organised by live music aficionados Traps, Amber Pickering and former radio personality Akuila Qumi, is part of attempts to continue with revival of the live music scene.
Mr Qumi said the joint performance would also give the world touring Rosiloa band a chance to perform their world viewed “Fiji Experience” show to local audiences and also show their fusion of Vucu-inspired music.
“What they put out at the World of Music Arts and Dance (WOMAD) festival they call ‘The Fijian Experience’, and it is one hour of what they show to the world and they want to bring that to Fiji.
“Most of us don’t really know about Rosiloa because they are always in and out of the country, they’ve broken into the World of Music Arts and Dance festivals.
“That’s seen them go through Europe and Asia these last couple of years.”
