The Lautoka City Chamber of Commerce and Industry is inviting all residents of Lautoka to participate in the celebration of Fiji’s 54th Independence day tomorrow.
President Semy Narendra Swamy expressed his optimism for this year’s festivities, emphasizing the importance of unity within the community.
Mr Swamy encouraged citizens to come out in large numbers to honour this significant national occasion.
“I am calling our local community, businesspeople, and stakeholders to take interest in decorating and beautifying shops, town streets, and residences to give Lautoka City a fresh look for this special day,” Mr Swamy said.
He highlighted that Independence Day is an ideal opportunity for Lautokans to come together, fostering a sense of belonging and love for their city and its people.
“This is a time for us to unite and stand together for the good of the nation.
“The chamber pledges its support to work together with the Municipal Council the police and the stakeholders to keep law and order during this day of celebration for peace and participation of and to reach to our venerable and needy citizens of Lautoka as well.
