DESPITE the wet weather, shoppers were out in numbers in the Sugar City yesterday for last-minute back to school shopping. Among the crowd was 34-year-old Ramena Tauvoli.
He said he wanted to complete shopping for his sons before school started next week.
“I’m from Bua and my family and I returned from Vanua Levu yesterday (Friday) and we wanted to complete the shopping this time around.”
The Natokowaqa resident has two boys, one in Year 4 and the other in Year 1. Both attend Lautoka Methodist Primary School.
Mr Tauvoli said he had been looking forward to the new school term because he believed educating his sons was vital.
“I want them to get well-educated and become something in life. Without education, there’s nothing in life.”
