New Caledonia’s Thierry Bonnet De Larbogne walked away with the 35/45 Men’s Singles title after an exciting showdown against Julian Main of New Zealand.
Larbogne was excited to play in Fiji and to win was a huge bonus.
“I’m honored to come and play here. It’s a beautiful venue to be in, Fiji is just amazing.
Making friends was his main motive of the five days tournament.
“Make friends first. If I can win, it’s okay, but my focus is to build connections.”
His opponent, Julian, echoed the same spirit.
“Winning is not as important, you need to enjoy. It’s a bonus for me to bring my family here and have them cheer me on.”
In the end, the match was not just about the trophy, it was about friendship, family, and the joy of the game.
