The Labasa football team has extended its lead in the Extra Premier League following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ba on Saturday night.
The win pushes Labasa to the top of the table with 13 points, edging ahead of Navua who sit on nine.
In yesterday’s fixture, Suva delivered a dominant performance, thrashing Nasinu 7-2 at the HFC Bank Stadium.
Joe Moses led the charge with three goals, Gagame Feni scored a brace while Remeru Takiata, and Abhishek Deo added a goal each to complete the rout.
The win sees Suva jump up on the standings to third position with eight points.
Meanwhile, Nadi, Nasinu, and Nadroga remain tightly grouped with seven points apiece.
Lautoka trails with three points, while Ba sits on two.
Rewa and Tavua round off the standings with a single point each.
