Priorities are still fresh for Extra Supermarket Labasa FC as they return to prepare for round two of the Extra Premier League 2025 tomorrow against ABA Realtors Nasinu at the Uprising Sports Resort at 3pm.
The Babasiga Lions has been in top form this season, winning seven games and drawing two.
They lead the points table and recently won the 2025 BiC Fiji FACT tournament.
With a solid squad and strong teamwork, they are setting the pace in the league.
Speaking ahead of the match, Labasa’s goalkeeper and Fiji FACT golden glove recipient Simione Tamanisau said that the team is focused on continuing their strong run.
“Our officials and president reminded us that we still have an important task, and that is to maintain our position in the league,” Tamanisau said.
He added that while the team is still enjoying their recent Fiji FACT title win after 10 years, the focus is now fully on the league.
“We can’t take anything away from Nasinu. They are a good team with young players who will be hungry to beat us,” he said.
Tamanisau said that Labasa’s main focus this week is on improving their finishing and discipline.
“There are areas we need to work on. The coaches are doing their part and we’re training hard to correct our mistakes,” he added.
He also called on Labasa fans to turn up like they did last week during the Fiji FACT final.
“We need the fans to turn up like they did last week. The winning trophy will be there too for everyone to take pictures and celebrate.”
Their match will take place after Navua hosts Suva at 1pm at the same venue.
