Ba coach Ravinesh Kumar has called on fans to continue supporting the team despite earlier setbacks in the pool stages of the Fiji FACT campaign.

Ba had a difficult start to the tournament, but recovered strongly to progress and eventually go on to lift the title after a 3-1 penalty shootout win over Navua at Subrail Park.

Kumar said belief in the process and the team was key to their turnaround.

“I say believe in the process and believe in the team. Football is about winning and losing, and Ba did their part tonight,” he said.

The Men in Black went down 0-2 to Lautoka in the pool stages.

“To the fans who were not very happy, I believe they will now be happy.”

He said the nature of football meant fans often reacted strongly after inconsistent results, but the team remained focused throughout.

“Sometimes fans react like this, especially when a win comes through penalties, it’s understandable.

“Everyone has their own feelings and opinions, but at the end of the day, Ba has won.”

He said the victory should be seen as a collective effort built on patience and trust in the squad.
