Transport Minister Faiyaz Koya has assured taxidrivers that nothing has been confirmed about the proposed Vodo App.
He met taxidrivers in Labasa and Savusavu during his tour to the Northern Division this week.
“Nothing has been confirmed at this stage about the Vodo App because it is still a consultation process,” Mr Koya said.
“Somebody has gone off and said that this app is going to be done but that’s not the case.
“The app hasn’t been developed yet and at the moment, we are in consultation to see what is best to serve the public of Fiji.
“Nothing is confirmed at this stage.”
Mr Koya described his meeting with public transport stakeholders as a fruitful one.
Asked why the Land Transport Authority had set out dates in its Vodo App expression of interest, Mr Koya said this did not mean the app was confirmed.
“Nothing is confirmed at all and we are still in consultation.”
