Another round of competition for the Suva Rugby Union was in full swing last Saturday, as teams sought for dominance in rounds seven, eight and ten of the Koroturaga and Escott grades respectively.
Matches took place at the Nasova ground and Albert Park grounds two and three, with fine weather prevailing throughout the day.
In round ten of competition in the Escott grade at Albert Park ground two, Fire beat Lakeba 26-14, the Fa & Co Eastern Saints won 28-15 over Marist Red, Army Green beat the Suva Stallions 25-13, Nabua Maroons won 23-15 over DHL Raiwaqa, Covenant thrashed Tovata 61-0 and in the Esala Teleni Shield Challenge, Lomaiviti Black won 12-8 over Naqarani.
In the Koroturaga challenge at Albert Park ground three, rounds seven and eight were in full force.
Covenant Red beat the Lami Cavaliers 21-19, Army Red drew nine-all with Vanuabalavu, Eastern Saints 2 were defeated 20-22 by Vuna Brothers, Qauia Green beat Taha 10-8, Navy White defeated Marist Blue 43-14.
In the Escott grade for rounds seven and nine at the Nasova ground, SCB Police Blues won over Central Brothers 38-3 in round seven, while in round nine, Savura beat the RKSOB 25-20, Nasinu winning 24-13 over USP.
Wins by default were recorded for QVSOB against Draunivau and for the Lami Cavaliers against Navakavu.
