Olympian and Fiji’s boxing sensation, Winston Hill was at the top of his game after he stopped Jese Ravudi in the second round to become the new middleweight
champion of Fiji.

In a re-match to their fight in June, where Hill stopped the Naitasiri slugger in the third round, many fans expected the fight to last the entire 10 rounds.

Hill landed a couple of powerful body shots that forced Ravudi down on the canvas holding his ribs.

Ravudi was unable to recover from the onslaught after one minute and 32 seconds in round two, going down via TKO.

Hill said in his post-match interview that he was disappointed with the fight ending earlier that than expected.

“I did ask him to take me to deep waters, but it didn’t happen, and I want to apologize to the supporters and spectators that came out to watch, because the fight was all done in two minutes of the second round,” said Hill.

The super welterweight champion of Fiji said his preparation had been key to his successful fight.

“I guess it is all part of a successful training camp and hats off to my team and I will now rest and recover, have a little break and hopefully, we get some calls in January as I hope to fight in
February.

“I thank Nadi and its people very much for the being a wonderful host and South Pacific Boxing Promotions for organising this event,”
added Hill.

SPBP director Mohammed Shameem said Hill was a champion boxer who was very professional.

“He is the gym every day and it shows when he fights.”
