FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD Team Fiji swimmer Grace Kehlan finished her campaign at the Swimming New Zealand Short Course Championships on a high after winning three medals.
Kehlan won gold in the 50 metres freestyle after clocking 26.17 seconds, while she claimed silver in the 50m butterfly in 28.23s and bronze in the 100m freestyle in 57.92s.
Her results cap a promising campaign for the young swimmer, who continues to gain valuable experience competing against swimmers from across the region.
The three medals are another milestone in Kehlan’s developing swimming career as she works towards representing Fiji at more international competitions.
Earlier this year, Kehlan secured a three-year sponsorship deal with FMF, which is supporting her development and helping provide opportunities for her to compete at a higher level.
The sponsorship has been an important step for the 14-year-old as she balances her training and competition commitments while continuing to develop her skills in the pool.
Kehlan has also been a member of Head Orca Swim Club for the past four years.
Her latest performance in New Zealand provides further encouragement as she continues her journey in swimming and looks towards future competitions with Team Fiji.
