Update: 6:25PM FORWARD Isake Katonibau has been dropped from the 2016 Rio Olympic Games mens rugby squad.
A statement from the Fiji Rugby Union this evening has confirmed this and explained that Katonibau was dropped due to chronic injuries.
The statement said Vodafone 7s coach Ben Ryan would not replace Katonibau and would continue working with his current squad.
Ryan said earlier this week that he may not wait until next month to announce his team.
However, he would drop players from the squad if he felt they did not have a chance to make the squad.
“Eight weeks today is our first game and I said to the
