Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica says the Government was finalising Fiji’s National Digital Strategy.
Speaking at the Fiji Tech Summit in Nadi recently, Mr Kamikamica said this was a comprehensive five-year plan for Fiji’s digital future that they aim to launch by the end of this year.
“As we strive to transform Fiji into a digitally empowered economy, where technology drives economic growth and development, it is crucial that we do so in a sustainable and strategic manner,” he said.
“To this end, we are finalising Fiji’s National Digital Strategy, a comprehensive five-year plan for Fiji’s digital future that we aim to launch by the end of this year.
“The National Digital Strategy will focus on providing a coordinated pathway for enhancing digital infrastructure and cyber resilience, promoting digital inclusion and empowerment, fostering innovation-led economic growth, advancing smart governance and digital public services, supporting sustainable development, and strengthening global digital cooperation.”
