The 2026 Fiji and Australia Business Forum (FABC) will focus on strengthening trade and investment between Fiji and Australia, the Vuvale Partnership, infrastructure development, agriculture, workforce skills, digital innovation, and the ease of doing business.
FABC president Himen Chandra made this known at the launch of the FABC forum at the FHL Tower in Suva yesterday.
He said under the theme ‘Strategy for shifting landscape’, the forum would bring together business leaders, investors and policymakers to discuss how businesses could adapt to changing global and regional conditions, build stronger partnerships and position it for future growth.
“The joint business forum brings together the people and organisations shaping the future of Fiji-Australia commercial relations,” Mr Chandra said.
“It provides an important opportunity for businesses to build connections, gain insights from industry leaders and identify pathways for collaboration and growth.”
He said the forum would also strengthen the renewed Fiji-Australia Vuvale partnership with shared commitment to deepening economic cooperation, promoting investment and supporting sustainable private sector growth across the Pacific.
Meanwhile, FABC vice president Saud Minam said while about 50 registrations had been received so far, registration was still open to businesses and individuals.
Mr Minam said discussions would also explore emerging opportunities linked to global growth initiatives and the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic games, which was expected to create new opportunities across multiple industries.
The 2026 FABC Forum will be held from August 27-29 at the GPH in Suva.
