THE mystery surrounding a man found dead inside a vehicle parked near the Pacific Harbour Police Post has deepened, with police awaiting post-mortem results to determine the cause of his death.
Police have identified the deceased as a 47-year-old man from Navua.
“He is a 47 year old man from Navua,” police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said.
The man’s body was discovered on Saturday after police received a report of an unresponsive person inside a vehicle. Officers who attended the scene found him motionless in the driver’s seat.
Investigators are now awaiting the outcome of a post-mortem examination as inquiries continue.
“The post mortem will confirm the cause of death,” Ms Naisoro said.
