Tower Insurance Ltd’s 2026 Pacific Leadership Summit at its Suva Hub in Nasese this week brought together its board of directors, group executives, Pacific senior leadership and country managers for a week–long professional development and strategy forum designed to accelerate and future–proof Tower’s Pacific business.
Staff from New Zealand, Tonga, American Samoa, Samoa and the Cook Islands were in Suva for the event, which included chief underwriting officer Ron Mudaliar and chief risk officer Sharyn Reichstein from New Zealand.
“We’ve been supporting Fijian communities with insurance for over 150 years,” Mr Mudaliar said.
“Ultimately, bringing our leaders together, here in Fiji, turbo-charges discussions on how we can continue to strengthen our offering, better support Pacific people and economies, and invest in the talent and capability that underpin our Pacific operations.”
The New Zealand headquartered insurer also hosted New Zealand High Commissioner Greg Andrews, who stepped into the role earlier this year.
“Hosting the High Commissioner as part of our Pacific Leadership Summit this year was a privilege,” Mr Mudaliar said.
“It provided an invaluable opportunity to meet and discuss the important role insurance plays in supporting economic stability, resilience and long-term growth across the region, as well as the value of strong partnerships.”
High Commissioner Andrews said Tower is an iconic New Zealand and Pacific business that has a long history of working in the Pacific region.
“It is great to see the company continuing to invest in its Pacific operations and staff and delivering innovative products that support Pacific customers and businesses,” he added.
Tower’s Suva hub is home to more than 300 staff who help support over 300,000 Pacific and New Zealand customers.
The High Commissioner’s visit included a tour of the building led by Mr Mudaliar and Suva Hub & Pacific chief operating officer Ritesh Singh, ending with a performance by the Tower choir and morning tea with summit participants.
