IT is enraging to see what extent people can go to on social media for a little attention.
I was scrolling through the newsfeed of a prominent social networking site when I same across the picture of the scene where a child was involved in an accident at the Lautoka bus stand.
The picture showed a pool of blood and a policewoman pointing to the photographer and she appeared to be shouting, I assume she was telling the photographer to put his/her camera away.
To make matters worse, the photo was accompanied by explicit details of the accident.
While one cannot control what posts go on social media, it is incumbent upon the people to realise what is of good and bad taste, and to put themselves in the situation of the affected party.
I suggest the Fiji Police Force come down hard on spectators with cameras at accident scenes.
Although this is not the job of the police, but maybe a night in lockup will restore some sense in people.
