Inosi Kunidrani will re-enter Parliament today as Fiji’s newest Member of Parliament.
He will fill the seat left vacant by the late Vatimi Rayalu.
The Electoral Commission awarded the seat to Mr Kunidrani last Friday.
“As per section 64(1) of the 2013 Constitution of the Republic of Fiji, Inosi Turaga Kuridrani, candidate number 369, having secured 1553 votes in the 2022 General Election is the highest ranked out of the candidates of The People’s Alliance who did not get elected to Parliament but is still available to serve,” said the EC in its decision.
“The Electoral Commission approves the awarding of the vacant parliamentary seat to Mr. Inosi Turaga Kuridrani, dated this 11th day of July 2025.”
The Parliament of Fiji has indicated on its social media page there will be an administration of oath this morning.
Mr Kunidrani last served as an MP under Social Democratic Liberal Party and had contested the 2022 general election under Peoples Alliance banner.
