Injured centre Peta Hiku has played his last game for the Warriors.

The Warriors were interested in retaining the off-contract 28-year-old but he has knocked the club’s offer back to sign with, former Warriors’ interim coach, Todd Payten’s Cowboys on a two-year deal.

His final season with the Warriors came to an abrupt end when the club announced, earlier this month, that he would not return in 2021 after suffering a shoulder injury during the 20-14 win over St George Illawarra on April 18.

Initial reports at the time suggested he would be back in 2021 but that wasn’t to be.

Hiku played just four matches for the Warriors in 2021 and finishes with a total of 67 appearances, including 18 tries.
