INCOMPLETE documentation remains one of the main challenges faced during the early stages of the election officials’ recruitment drive.

Acting Deputy Supervisor of Elections Anaseini Senimoli said many applicants had been arriving at recruitment centres without the required supporting documents, slowing down the processing of applications.

Ms Senimoli said essential documents included a voter registration card and bank details, which may be provided through a bank statement or account confirmation.

“Applicants opting for mobile payment platforms such as MPAiSA or MyCash are also required to provide relevant account details,” she said. In addition, she said applicants must present their tax identification number (TIN) documentation and FNPF details, including an FNPF number, card, or statement.

“These are the key requirements we need when people come into our centres. We are urging applicants to ensure they bring the correct documents.”

She said they were working to improve public awareness of documentation requirements to reduce delays and ensure a smoother recruitment process.

While the turnout has been strong, she said proper preparation by applicants was essential for efficient processing.
