LANDS Minister Filimoni Vosarogo has firmly dismissed speculation about his political future, declaring his loyalty to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and the People’s Alliance as political activity begins to build ahead of the next General Election.
When asked whether he intended to leave the People’s Alliance, Mr Vosarogo responded emphatically.
“What do you mean? I am a Rabuka man,” Mr Vosarogo said.
The minister said he had no plans to join another political party and remained confident the People’s Alliance would secure a second term in government under Mr Rabuka’s leadership.
“Game on. We are very confident — absolutely confident of the outcome of the next elections.”
He downplayed concerns that rising fuel prices and the increasing cost of living could become a major political liability for the governing party.
“It will affect everyone, not just during elections but also any incoming government after elections.”
He acknowledged that some politicians may attempt to use fuel price increases as a campaign issue but argued that voters understood the broader global forces driving higher costs.
