Hunt for passengers of minibus

The hunt for a minibus driver connected to the case of a 53-year-old COVID positive woman has ended.

Ministry of Health and Medical Services permanent secretary Dr James Fong said the driver had been located and safely quarantined at his house.

The search is still on though for passengers of the van who travelled from Lautoka to Nadi at 5.30pm on Saturday, April 17.

Dr Fong said the minibus with the licence plate number LM417, was white with a red painted front bumper.

“A photo of the minibus has been posted on the Fijian Government Facebook page and released to the media,” he said.

“If you rode in this minibus from Lautoka to Nadi that night, please call 158.”

Dr Fong said the driver would be tested.
