The Yat Sen 90/40 Anniversary celebrations begin today, marking 90 years of Yat Sen Primary School and 40 years of Yat Sen Secondary School.

Fiji Yat Sen Alumni president Ms Jacqueline Hughes said the anniversary honours generations of students, teachers, parents and supporters whose dedication has shaped the school’s growth and enduring legacy.

“The theme, Honouring Our Legacy, Inspiring Our Future, reflects a celebration of our rich history and commitment to ensure the school continues to thrive for future generations,” she said.

She said alumni gathered at the Fiji Club on Tuesday for a pre-celebration reunion organised by the 1990s-decade group to reconnect and reflect on their shared journey.

The official program begins tonight with a Cocktail Night hosted by the 2000s decade at the school hall, followed by Cultural Night tomorrow hosted by the 2010s decade.

Saturday’s Gala Night hosted by the 1990s decade will honour distinguished alumni and long-serving staff, concluding Sunday with a Sota Tale Market Day.

At its heart, Yat Sen 90/40 is a celebration of community, service, and friendship. Tickets are available through TicketMax.
