EIGHT-TIME champions The Roylux Realty Ba team will lean on their rich Fiji FACT history as they face defending champions Extra Labasa in today’s semi-final at Subrail Park.
Ba, the most decorated side, is trying to end a 16-year Fiji FACT drought.
Historically, Ba has won more than half of their Fiji FACT meetings against Labasa. However, at Subrail Park, Labasa dominates with close to two-thirds of wins against Ba on their home turf.
The Babasiga Lions, have emerged as one of the tournament’s most feared teams, boasting five titles and a strong recent record. Their dominance at Subrail Park has been key to their success, giving them confidence heading into the semi-final.
Fresh from an emphatic pool-stage performance, Labasa looks settled, dangerous, and ready, backed by experienced players and a vocal northern crowd.
Ba’s campaign this year shows promise, especially in attack, and their experience in knockout football is a vital advantage.
Yet, another missed opportunity would raise the pressure on the Men in Black.
For Labasa, the mission is clear: Protect their crown and leverage their home advantage.
This semi-final promises a thrilling contest between Ba’s storied legacy and Labasa’s home strength and form, with the winner taking a step closer to Fiji FACT glory.
