Occasional rain, isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms are forecast for parts of Fiji from tomorrow as a trough of low pressure approaches from the west.
The Fiji Meteorological Service says the trough is approaching and affecting western parts of Fiji.
In its 5.30am weather bulletin today, the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi said cloudy periods with some showers are expected over Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands through to midnight tonight.
Other parts of the country can expect partly cloudy conditions.
Moderate to fresh northeast to southeast winds are forecast, with moderate to rough seas.
Conditions are expected to become wetter on Sunday, with occasional rain and isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms forecast for Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
Cloudy periods with some showers are expected elsewhere.
For Nadi, Lautoka and Ba, cloudy periods with some showers are forecast today before occasional rain, isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms develop on Sunday.
The Fiji Meteorological Service is forecasting temperatures generally ranging from overnight lows of 21 to 22 degrees Celsius to daytime highs of 26 to 29 degrees across the country.
