Hard work and sacrifice pay off for Bhavisha

Hard work and sacrifice paid off for Bhavisha Harkishan when she scooped four gold medals at the University of the South Pacific graduation ceremony in Suva on Friday.

The Navua lass bagged the vice-chancellor and president’s all-rounder prize, Fiji Institute of accountants prize for the most outstanding graduate with a major in accounting, KPMG prize for the most outstanding graduate with a major in finance and Credit Corporation (Fiji) Ltd prize for the most outstanding Bachelor of Commerce graduate under the School of Accounting and Finance.

She said her mother’s struggles over the years after the passing of her father was the motivation she needed to work extra hard.

Her mother, Bina Harkishan, describes her daughter as a hardworking, determined and caring young woman.
