THE Ministry of Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry has cancelled its scheduled Girmit celebration program in Labasa today because of bad weather.
The ministry said the decision was made with public safety in mind.
It expressed regret over the cancellation and apologised for any inconvenience caused to the public.
Meanwhile, the program planned for tomorrow will still take place as scheduled.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is expected to attend and officiate at the event.
