THE Motibhai Group raised $50,000 for the Fiji Cancer Society through the Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea at the Motibhai Business Park in Nadi on August 12.
Established in 2006, Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea is the Fiji Cancer Society’s longest running and largest fundraising initiative.
The annual campaign reflects the longstanding partnership between the Motibhai Group and Fiji Cancer Society.
Funds raised will support the Society’s patient-assistance, awareness, and advocacy initiatives, helping patients and their families manage physical, emotional, and financial challenges.
Motibhai Group of companies business development manager — wines and spirits, Nitesh Chand said the occasion demonstrated the impact communities could achieve when united behind a shared cause.
“Cancer does not discriminate. It touches all of us,our mothers and fathers, our brothers and sisters, our friends, and neighbours,”he said.
“Events like this remind us that, in the face of hardship, we are never alone. We are stronger together.”
Mr Chand acknowledged the Fiji Cancer Society’s continued contribution to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer, while advancing public awareness, education, prevention, and early detection.
The Motibhai Group extended its appreciation to participating organisations, donors, volunteers, employees, and supporters whose contributions made the fundraising event a success.
