Grandfather murder accused fit for trial

A latest psychiatric report for Charles Laxton Sundar, who is accused of killing and dismembering his 86-year-old grandfather last year, has found him fit to plead.

The 25-year-old faces a murder charge, with the prosecution alleging he slit the throat of Emori Rokovuki and dismembered the body using knives in Lutu, Wainibuka on July 12, 2025.

The case has been adjourned to May 28.  He is further remanded in custody.
