SUVA Grammar School and John Wesley College dominated the inter secondary schools volleyball tournament in Suva on Saturday.
John Wesley defeated Suva Grammar by two straight sets to win the 20 and under, men’s grade while Suva Grammar defeated John Wesley 2-1 to claim the 20 and under women’s title.
In the 18 and under, girl’s category final, Suva Grammar defeated John Wesley 3-1 while the boy’s grade was won by Marist, which defeated Suva Grammar by 2-1.
Marist I defeated Marist II to win the 16 and under boy’s title.
Tournament director Jone Baleiloloma said they would continue working closely with the secondary schools to ensure proper development of the sport from the grassroots level.
“Fiji Volleyball will be planning a bigger and better tournament for them next year.” Baleiloloma said.
