THE R.C. Manubhai Fiji Golf Open returns to the Suva Golf Club this weekend, with another strong field expected for the two-day tournament.
The annual tournament will be held this Saturday and culminates on Sunday and is expected to attract experienced golfers, emerging talent and members of the wider golfing community.
Around 140 golfers took part in last year’s event, with Shakil Pillay winning the overall title and Ashish Chand finishing runner-up.
The tournament has become a major fixture on Fiji’s golfing calendar and continues to grow in popularity each year.
R.C. Manubhai Group Marketing Manager Chetna Ben said the company was pleased to see the tournament return and continue its long-standing association with the sport.
The company has a proud history of supporting golf in Fiji, having sponsored the Ba Golf Club Open for more than 56 years.
This makes its sponsorship one of the longest-running private sporting sponsorships in the Pacific.
